Jesus Church (Cieszyn)

Jesus Church or Grace Church is a Lutheran Church located in Cieszyn, Poland. It is one of the largest and most important Protestant churches in Poland. The construction of the Lutheran basilica was made possible with the assistance of Sweden's Charles XII, who forced Austrian Emperor Joseph I to provide right for Protestants. Late Austrian Baroque in style, Jesus Church was constructed between 1709-1750.

Cieszyn

Cieszyn is a border-town and the seat of Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It has 36,109 inhabitants (2004). Cieszyn lies on the Olza River, a tributary of the Oder river, opposite Český Těšín. It is situated in the heart of the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. Until the end of World War I in 1918 it was a seat of the Duchy of Teschen.

Kostkowice, Cieszyn County

Kostkowice is a village in Gmina Dębowiec, Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It has a population of 530 (2004). It lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. The village was first mentioned in a Latin document of Diocese of Wrocław called Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis from around 1305 as Goschegowitz. It belonged then to the Duchy of Teschen, formed in 1290.

Ropičanka

The Ropičanka is a 16 kilometres -long river in the Frýdek-Místek and Karviná districts, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. It is a left tributary of the Olza River, which it enters on the outskirts of Český Těšín. The Ropičanka flows through Řeka, Smilovice, Střítež and Ropice (from source to mouth). A small portion of its volume (about 0.07 m³/s or 2.5 ft³/s) is diverted to the watershed of the Stonávka River in order to increase the flow rate at the Těrlicko Dam.
