Kostkowice is a village in Gmina Dębowiec, Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It has a population of 530 (2004). It lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. The village was first mentioned in a Latin document of Diocese of Wrocław called Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis from around 1305 as Goschegowitz. It belonged then to the Duchy of Teschen, formed in 1290.

Bobrek, Cieszyn

Bobrek is a district of Cieszyn, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. It was a separate municipality, but became administratively a part of Cieszyn in 1932. First mentioned in 1322. According to the Austrian census of 1910 Bobrek had 2,820 inhabitants, 2,790 of whom had permanent residence there. Census asked people for their native language, 2,241 (80,3%) were Polish-speaking, 438 (15,7%) were German-speaking and 111 (4%) were Czech-speaking.

Ogrodzona, Silesian Voivodeship

Ogrodzona is a village in Gmina Dębowiec, Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It has a population of 838 (2004). Ogrodzona is one of the oldest villages in Cieszyn Silesia. It was first mentioned in 1223 as Ogrozona, in a document of Bishop of Wrocław issued for Norbertine Sisters in Rybnik among villages paying them tithe. It belonged then to the Duchy of Opole and Racibórz and Castellany of Cieszyn, which was in 1290 formed into the Duchy of Teschen.

Cieszyn

Cieszyn is a border-town and the seat of Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It has 36,109 inhabitants (2004). Cieszyn lies on the Olza River, a tributary of the Oder river, opposite Český Těšín. It is situated in the heart of the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. Until the end of World War I in 1918 it was a seat of the Duchy of Teschen.
