Markowa

Markowa is a village in Łańcut County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Markowa. It lies approximately 8 kilometres south-east of Łańcut and 22 km east of the regional capital Rzeszów. The village has a population of 4,100; it was fundated in 14th by the descendants of Germans colonists, as village Markhof.
