Secemin

Secemin is a village in Włoszczowa County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Secemin. It lies historic Lesser Poland, approximately 14 kilometres south-west of Włoszczowa and 57 km west of the regional capital Kielce. The village has a population of 1,600, and used to be a town in 1401 - 1869. Its name comes from the local swamps, called sece.
