Płośnica is a village in Działdowo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Płośnica. It lies approximately 13 kilometres north-west of Działdowo and 65 km south-west of the regional capital Olsztyn. Płośnica was first documented in 1351, while its church was first reported in 1404. In 1818 it belonged to Landkreis Neidenburg in East Prussia in the Kingdom of Prussia and, after 1871, in Imperial Germany.
