Comana is a commune in Giurgiu County, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Comana, Vlad Ţepeş, Budeni, Falaştoaca and Grădiştea. Comana monastery was founded by Vlad III "Ţepeş" in 1461, and is possibly the site of his tomb. It was demolished and rebuilt from scratch in 1589 by Radu Serban of Coiani, future prince of Wallachia. The new monastery measured 61 x 56 m and was fortified with a defensive walls and five towers.
