Dragomirești-Vale

Dragomireşti-Vale is a commune in the southwestern part of Ilfov County, Romania. Its name is derived from Dragomir, a Romanian name of Slavic origin (from Драгомир, which means "precious and peaceful"), the suffix -eşti, and noun Vale, which means "valley". A medium-size commune, it is composed of 3 villages: Dragomireşti-Vale, Dragomireşti-Deal and Zurbaua. It is situated near Bucharest, approx. 14 km away from the city centre and 4 km from the highway Bucharest-Piteşti.

Păcii metro station

Păcii (eng. peace) is a metro station in Bucharest. Part of the boulevard under which it resides used to bear the station's name. It is located on Iuliu Maniu Avenue at the intersection with Valea Cascadelor Avenue, the latter being a proposal for a new name for the station.

Gorjului metro station

Gorjului is a metro station in Bucharest named after the Piaţa Gorjului, east of which is situated. It was added later to the system in the 1990s, and built in two stages. First built was the platform for trains headed for Industriilor, and after a few years, the platform for trains headed for Eroilor entered revenue service.

Lujerului metro station

Lujerului metro station, previously known as Armata Poporului is a metro station in the Militari neighborhood of Bucharest. It is located at the intersection of Lujerului and Iuliu Maniu Avenues, close to the Lujerului road-tunnel, near the Cotroceni Freight Railway Terminal, the Lujerului Silo, Mills and Bread Factory, and next to the Cora Lujerului hypermarket. The metro station also services the Plaza Romania mall. It was opened in August 1983 and currently serves M3.

Militari

Militari is a district in the western part of Bucharest, in Sector 6. It is home of more than 100,000 inhabitants. In the past a village called "Militari" existed here, but today there are only few houses left from this time. The first apartment buildings (with 2,3 and 4 floors) have been built in the 1950s by Communist party workers. Later, in the 1970s and 1980s, most of the present-day blocks of flats (with 8 and 10 flats) have been built.
