Sculptural Ensemble of Constantin Brâncuși at Târgu Jiu

The Sculptural Ensemble of Constantin Brâncuşi at Târgu Jiu is an homage to the Romanian heroes of the First World War. The ensemble comprises three sculptures: the Table of Silence, the Gate of the Kiss and the Column of the Infinite, on an axis 1,300 m (4,250 ft) long, oriented west to east. The Ensemble is considered to be one of the great works of 20th century outdoor sculpture.

Constantin Brâncuşi University of Targu Jiu (Universitatea "Constantin Brâncuşi" din Tg-Jiu) is a university in the city of Târgu Jiu, Romania. It was established in 1990 and has five faculties and three additional departments. It is named after the artist Constantin Brâncuşi.

Stadionul Tudor Vladimirescu

Tudor Vladimirescu Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Târgu Jiu, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Pandurii Târgu Jiu. It is named after Tudor Vladimirescu, the Wallachian revolutionary hero. The stadium hosted the Romanian Cup Final of the 2008-2009 season.

Castra of Bumbești-Jiu – Gară

The castra of Bumbești-Jiu now known as Gară was a fort in the Roman province of Dacia in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. A contemporary settlement was also unearthed at the fort. The ruins of the fort are located in Bumbești-Jiu. In the same town, the ruins of an other Roman fort were also unearthed.
