Crăciunești

Crăciuneşti is a commune in Mureş County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of eight villages: Budiu Mic (Hagymásbodon), Ciba (Csiba), Cinta (Fintaháza), Corneşti (Somosd), Crăciuneşti, Foi (Folyfalva), Nicoleşti (Káposztásszentmiklós) and Tirimioara (Kisteremi). Ciba, Foi and Nicoleşti were established in 2006.

Transylvanian Plateau

Castra of Cristești

Although not unanimously accepted, the existence of the castra of Cristești in the Roman province of Dacia is substantiated by bricks and tiles bearing the name of a Roman military unit, the Ala I Gallorum et Bosporanorum. The lack of any other traces of the Roman fort may easily be due to its destruction by the Mureș River. at Cristeşti, a Roman settlement from the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD was unearthed which was an important center of potters.

Teleki Library

The Teleki Library, also known as Teleki-Bolyai Library and Bibliotheca Telekiana, is a historic public library and current museum in Târgu-Mureş, Romania. One of the richest Transylvanian collections of cultural artefacts, it was founded by the Hungarian Count Sámuel Teleki in 1802, at the time when Transylvania was part of the Habsburg Monarchy, and has been open to the reading public ever since. It was among the first institutions of its kind inside the Habsburg-ruled Kingdom of Hungary.
