Cheile Bicazului-Hășmaș National Park
The Cheile Bicazului - Hășmaș National Park is located in north-eastern Romania, in the Eastern Carpathians mountain chain. The reservation territory is part of Neamţ and Harghita counties. The park administration is located in Izvorul Mureşului, in Harghita County. The park's most important geologic features are Cheile Bicazului (Bicaz Gorges), a deep canyon dug by the Bicaz River, Lacu Roşu (the Red Lake) - a natural dam lake, and the Hăşmaş Mountains.

Bicaz Canyon
The Bicaz Canyon is a canyon in Romania, located in the north-east part of the country, in Neamţ and Harghita counties. The canyon was dug by the waters of Bicaz River and it serves as a passageway between the Romanian provinces of Moldova and Transylvania. It is a noted location to see the wallcreeper, an uncommon cliff-dwelling bird.

The Hăşmaş Mountains, are limestone and sandstone massifs located in Romania in the Romanian Carpathian Mountain Range. The ranges include many cliffs and gorges, such as the Bicaz Gorge and the Panaghia Cliff. They contain the Cheile Bicazului-Hăşmaş natural reserve. There is a lake known as the Lacul Roşu ("red lake"), named after the red clay that is there.
