Lake Lacha is a freshwater lake, located in the south of Kargopolsky District of Arkhangelsk Oblast in Russia, 7 kilometres south of the town of Kargopol. It is the largest lake in Arkhangelsk Oblast, with a surface area of 334 square kilometres and a basin area of 12,600 square kilometres . Lake Lacha is the source of the Onega River, one of the major waterways of the White Sea basin. The etymological origin of the name is unclear.

The Svid is a river in Kargopolsky District in the south-west of Arkhangelsk Oblast in Russia. It connects Lake Vozhe and Lake Lacha and belongs to the river basin of the Onega River. It is 64 kilometres long, and the area of its basin 6,850 square kilometres . The Svid is part of a major waterway from the Vozhega River via Lakes Vozhe and Lacha to the Onega River, one of the biggest river basins of the White Sea. Its source is the Lake Vozhe at the border of Vologda Oblast.
