Sukhinichsky District is an administrative and municipal district, one of the twenty-four in Kaluga Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,232 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the town of Sukhinichi. Population: 25,427; 26,968; 3,1,369. The population of Sukhinichi accounts for 64.0% of the district's total population.

Sukhinichi

Sukhinichi is a town and the administrative center of Sukhinichsky District of Kaluga Oblast, Russia, a large railway junction on the Moscow–Bryansk line, situated on the Bryn River 105 kilometers southwest of Kaluga. Population: 16,273; 16,387; 17,762. It was founded as a selo in the first half of the 18th century. It was granted town status in 1840. It has grown mainly due to the development of the railway.

Moshonki

Moshonki is a rural locality in Meshchovsky District of Kaluga Oblast, Russia, located 155 kilometers southwest of Moscow River Serena (A tributary of the Oka tributary Zhizdra). Crossing the village is the Moscow–Kiev railway line. The nearest station at Kudrinskaya is about 7 kilometers away from Moshonki. The best known feature of Moshonki is the structure of the place Alexander Nevsky Church from the 18th century, which was built in the 1930s, destroyed by a fire, and recently rebuilt.
