Pribylovo, Leningrad Oblast

Pribylovo (also Klyuchevoye, Finnish: Makslahti) is a rural locality (a logging depot settlement) in Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the Karelian Isthmus, on the eastern shore of the Bay of Vyborg. The settlement hosts an air base and a naval military airfield with ten medium-sized and twelve large revetments. The airfield guards the approach to Saint Petersburg from Helsinki, Finland. Pribylovo is also a station of the Primorsk-Vyborg railroad.

Sovetsky, Leningrad Oblast

Sovetsky is an urban locality in Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia, and a station of the Vyborg–Primorsk railroad. It is situated on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Vyborg on the Karelian Isthmus. Population: 7,131; 6,607; 6,471. Until the Winter War and Continuation War, it had been the administrative center of the Johannes municipality of the Viipuri province of Finland.

Beryozovye Islands

Beryozovye Islands, alternatively spelled Berezovye Islands, is an island group in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. The islands are situated at the bottom of the Gulf of Finland, just outside the town of Primorsk on the Karelian Isthmus. There are 15 islands in the group, the largest is Bolshoy Beryozovy . Other islands include Zapadny Beryozovy and Severny Beryozovy . The total area of the group, stretching along the coast for 200 km, is 92 km².

Battle of Vyborg Bay (1790)

The Battle of Viborg Bay (in Swedish literature known as Viborgska gatloppet, "the Viborg gauntlet") was a naval battle fought between Russia and Sweden on July 4, 1790, during the Russo-Swedish War (1788-1790). The Swedish Navy suffered heavy losses, losing six ships of the line and four frigates, but Gustav III of Sweden eventually ensured a Swedish naval escape through a Russian naval blockade composed of units of the Baltic Fleet, commanded by Admiral Vasili Chichagov.
