Battle of Molodi

The Battle of Molodi was one of the key battles of Ivan the Terrible's reign. It was fought near the village of Molodi, 40 mi south of Moscow, in July-August 1572 between the 120,000-strong horde of Devlet I Giray of Crimea and about 60,000 Russians led by Prince Mikhail Vorotynsky. The Crimean horde was defeated so thoroughly that both the Ottoman Sultan and the Crimean khan, his vassal, had to give up their ambitious plans of northward expansion into Russia forever.

Ostafyevo International Airport

Ostafyevo International Airport (Russian: Междунаро́дный аэропо́рт «Оста́фьево») is a "B" class international airport, located 8.7 kilometres in the north of Podolsk, That airport is owned by Gazpromavia company, a division of Gazprom. It opened in 2000 on a base of a military airbase, features a new modern glass terminal, and caters primarily to business aviation.

Vityaz Ice Palace

Vityaz Ice Palace is an indoor sporting arena located in Podolsk, Russia. The capacity of the arena is 5,500 and was built in 2000. The home games of Russkie Vityazi, the junior team of Vityaz Chekhov, are played in the arena. Until 2006 it was the home arena of the HC MVD ice hockey team.

Buninskaya Alleya

Buninskaya alleya is the southern terminus of the Butovskaya Light Metro Line of the Moscow Metro, and the southernmost station of the entire system. It was opened on 27 December 2003. Like most other stations of the line, it is located above the ground. It is planned to extend the line further south behind the Buninskaya alleya station in 2014. The extension will include three new stations.

Ulitsa Gorchakova

Ulitsa Gorchakova is a station on the Butovskaya Light Metro Line of the Moscow Metro system in Moscow, Russia. It was opened on 27 December 2003 along with four other light metro stations. The station is located in Yuzhnoye Butovo District, between two other stations of the same line, Bulvar Admirala Ushakova and Buninskaya Alleya.
