Shatura
Shatura is a town and the administrative center of Shatursky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on Lake Svyatoye 124 kilometers east of Moscow. Population: 32,885; 30,393; 31,635. A settlement on place of modern Shatura has been known to exist since 1423. In 1917, peat deposits started to be mined in the vicinity. In 1918, construction of the first peat-fueled electric Shatura Power Station started near the village of Torbeyevka (Торбе́евка).
