Pakhra River

The Pakhra River is a river in Moscow Oblast and the city of Moscow, Russia, a right tributary of the Moskva River. It is 135 km in length. The area of its basin is 2580 km². Dagestan Airlines Flight 372

Dagestan Airlines Flight 372 was a scheduled commercial flight between Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow and Uytash Airport, Makhachkala. On December 4, 2010 a Tupolev Tu-154M, with registration RA-85744 operating the flight skidded off the runway following an emergency landing at Domodedovo International Airport, 45 km south-east of Vnukovo. Two people on board were killed.

Myachkovo Airport is an airport in Moscow Oblast, Russia located 31 km southeast of Moscow. The runway length including overrun is 1650 m. The facility services transport aircraft up to the size of Ilyushin Il-76 cargo jets. It is owned by Finpromko company. It is the largest of 19 airports for small planes, helicopters and private flights in Moscow Oblast.

Domodedovo International Airport

Moscow Domodedovo Airport or Domodedovo International Airport is an international airport located on the territory of Domodedovo Town Under Oblast Jurisdiction, Moscow Oblast, Russia, 42 kilometres south-southeast of the centre of Moscow. Domodedovo is the largest airport in Russia in terms of passenger and cargo traffic (22.25 million passengers used the airport in 2010, which is a 19.2% increase over 2009), and is one of the three major Moscow airports along with Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo.

Domodedovo International Airport bombing

The 2011 Domodedovo Airport bombing was a suicide attack in the international arrival hall of Moscow's busiest airport, Domodedovo Airport, on 24 January 2011. The bombing killed at least 37 people and injured 173, including 115 who required hospitalisation. 31 people died at the scene, another died in transit to hospital, and three more died in hospital the same day. Another victim, who had been comatose, died on 2 February, and another died on 24 February.
