Yakhroma

Yakhroma is a town in Dmitrovsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Yakhroma River, 55 kilometers north of Moscow. Population: 13,214; 13,361; 17,499. Yakhroma was founded in 1841 as a settlement servicing a local cloth factory on the Yakroma River. In 1901, Yakhroma railway station (Moscow -Kimry line) was built near the settlement, which later adopted the same name. It was granted town status in 1940.

Iksha

Iksha is an urban locality in Dmitrovsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 45 kilometers north of Moscow along the Dmitrov highway and the Moscow Canal, and is a junction of the Savyolovo Railway. Population: 3,721; 3,738; 4,619. The settlement was founded during the construction of the railroad from Moscow to Dmitrov in 1889. It further developed due to the construction of the Moscow Canal in the 1930s.

Don-2N radar

Don-2N radar is a large missile defence and early warning radar outside Moscow, and a key part of the Russian A-135 anti-ballistic missile system designed for the defence of the capital against ballistic missiles. Located in the Pushkino district of Moscow it is a quadrangular truncated pyramid 33 metres tall with sides 130 metres long at the bottom, and 90 metres long at the top. Each of its four faces has an 18 metres diameter UHF band radar giving 360 degree coverage.
