Dmitrovsk
Dmitrovsk is a town and the administrative center of Dmitrovsky District of Oryol Oblast, Russia, located on the Obshcheritsa River near its confluence with the Nerussa, 100 kilometers southwest of Oryol. Population: 5,648; 6,492; 6,974. It was founded in 1711 as the village of Dmitriyevka (Дми́триевка). After a church was built there, it obtains the status of a selo and is renamed Dmitrovka (Дмитровка).
