Meshchera Lowlands

Meshchera Lowlands (Meshchyora Lowlands), also referred to as simply "Meshchera"/"Meshchyora" is a spacious lowland in the middle of the European Russia. It is named after the Finno-Ugric Meshchera tribe, which used to live there. It occupies parts of Moscow Oblast, Vladimir Oblast and Ryazan Oblast; respectively, it is spoken of Moscow, Vladimir, and Ryazan Meshcheras.

Spas-Klepiki

Spas-Klepiki is a town and the administrative center of Klepikovsky District of Ryazan Oblast, Russia, located on the Pra River 67 kilometers northeast of Ryazan. Population: 5,916; 6,153; 7,209. It was founded in the 16th century as a settlement of Klepiki (Кле́пики) and granted town status in 1920.

Kursha-2

Kursha-2 was an industrial community in the Central Meshchyora, Ryazan Oblast. It was built soon after the October Revolution for the exploitation of the local forests, and was annihilated by a firestorm on 3 August 1936. The disaster caused 1200 human deaths. A narrow-gauge railway ran from the Trans-Meshchyora trunk-railway to Kursha-2 and then extended to Lesomashinny and Charus. More than 1000 lived in this woodcutters' settlement during the 1930s.
