Volgograd Bridge

Volgograd Bridge is a concrete girder bridge over the Volga River in the city of Volgograd, Russia. The bridge and adjacent flyovers are 7,110 meters long. The bridge, which was inaugurated October 10, 2009 after 13 years of construction, is a key part of a planned 30-kilometer highway route that also includes a future bridge over the Akhtuba River.

Pavlov's House

Pavlov's House (Russian: дом Павлова dom Pavlova) was a fortified apartment building during the Battle of Stalingrad from 27 September to 25 November 1942. It gained its popular name from Sergeant Yakov Pavlov, who commanded the platoon that seized the building and defended it during the long battle.
