Myjava (river)

The Myjava River is a river in western Slovakia and for a small part in the Czech Republic and left tributary of the Morava River. It rises in the White Carpathians near the village of Nová Lhota in Moravia, but crosses the Czech-Slovak border shortly afterwards and flows in a southern direction until the town of Myjava, where it enters the Myjava Hills and turns west.

Záhorie

Záhorie is a region in western Slovakia bordered by the Little Carpathians in the east and the Morava River in the west. Although not an administrative region in its own right, it is one of the 21 official tourism regions in Slovakia. Záhorie lies in the area of three administrative regions: Bratislava Region, Trnava Region and Trenčín Region (southern part of Myjava District). The region also creates the borders between Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria.

Skalica District

Skalica District (okres Skalica) is a district in the Trnava Region of western Slovakia. It lies in northern part of Záhorská nížina, a lowland between Bratislava and Czech Republic. The district had been established in 1923 and in its current borders exists from 1996. Its largest town is its seat Skalica. Main branch os the district economy is industry.
