The Slovene Hills or the Slovenian Hills, also the Slovene Wineyards, is the largest hilly region of Slovenia, a smaller part is located in the Austrian province of Styria. It is situated in the northeast of the country and has an area of 1,017 square kilometres . It comprises the Western Slovene Hills and the Eastern Slovene Hills. Prlekija

Prlekija is a region in northeastern Slovenia between the Drava and Mura rivers. It comprises the eastern part of the Slovenian Hills, stretching from the border with Austria to the border with Croatia. It is part of the traditional province of Lower Styria. Ščavnica

The Ščavnica is a 56 km-long river in Lower Styria, Slovenia. It sources near Zgornja Velka and flows along Slovenske gorice towards southeast. It passes the castle of Negova, Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici and traverses the lake of Gajševci and the town Ljutomer and finally joins Mura River in Razkrižje. The Ščavnica is one of the most heavily polluted rivers in Slovenia.
