Tugela Falls

Tugela Falls is the world's second highest waterfall. The total drop in five free-leaping falls is 948 m . They are located in the Drakensberg (Dragon's Mountains) in the Royal Natal National Park in KwaZulu-Natal Province, Republic of South Africa. They are easily viewed after a heavy rain from the main travel road into the park, glistening from the reflection of the late afternoon sun.

Amphitheatre (Drakensberg)

The Amphitheatre is one of the geographical features of the Northern Drakensberg, South Africa, and is widely regarded as one of the most impressive cliff faces on earth. The cliff face of the Amphitheatre is roughly three times the size of the total combined area of all the cliff faces in Yosemite's famous El Capitan, and more than 10 times the size of El Capitan's most famous (South Western) face. It is part of the Royal Natal National Park.

Kilburn Dam

The Kilburn Dam - a earth-fill type dam -, part of the Tugela-Vaal Water Project and Drakensberg Pumped Storage Scheme, is located 500 metres lower than the Sterkfontein Dam, on the Mnjaneni River, near Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, province of South Africa. The dam was commissioned in 1981, has a capacity of 36,700 cubic metres, and a surface area of 207 hectares, the dam wall is 48 metres high.

Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality is an administrative area in the Thabo Mofutsanyane District of the Free State in South Africa. The municipality is named after the Drakensberg mountains (known as "Maluti" in Sesotho). The peak in Qwaqwa is known as the Sentinel, which is called "Phofung" in Sesotho.
