Mutriku

Mutriku is a town located in the province of Gipuzkoa in the Autonomous Community of Basque Country in northern Spain. It is the site of the world's first multi-turbine breakwater wave power station, inaugurated July 8, 2011.

Praileaitz Cave

The Praileaitz Cave (Basque for Rock of the Monk cave) is located in the municipality of Deba. Early in August 2006, various paleolithic cave paintings were found during an archaeological excavation - a non-figurative iconographic grouping made up of smaller groups of red dots, either isolated or forming a series. Researchers have surmised that the paintings were done around 18,000 years ago.
