Ajvide
Ajvide (Ajvideboplatsen) is located on the western coast of Gotland, Sweden, in the parish of Eksta, diocese of Visby. It covers an area of 200,000 square metres and was occupied from the Late Mesolithic through to the mid Bronze Age. The majority of the activity on the site took place during the Middle Neolithic period (3100 - 2700 BC). This phase of activity belongs to the Pitted Ware culture. Around 2900 BC, the site suffered from a marine transgression.

Hemse stave church
Hemse stave church is a rediscovered palisade church from Hemse at Gotland. Before the present Hemse church was built there was a stave church from the early Christian period in the beginning of 11th century. The solid and richly ornamented stave planks of oak was used as a wooden floor in the present church. This stave church, or palisade church, is the only more or less complete church rediscovered from the introduction of Christianity in Sweden.

Lojsta Castle
Lojsta Castle (Lojsta slott) was, despite what the name suggests, not a "castle" in the normal sense, i.e. it was not a palacelike manor. It was more of a fortress. In the Middle Ages, Lojsta Castle was a defence-structure, placed on an island in a small lake in the middle of the Swedish island Gotland. The fortress is believed to have been used by the Vitalians who supported the captured Swedish king at the time, Albert of Mecklenburg.

Lilla Karlsö
Lilla Karlsö is a small Swedish island in the Baltic Sea, situated about 3 km west of Gotland and 4.5 km from Stora Karlsö. It has an area of about 1.6 km² and is 66 meters high. Most of the island consists of a limestone plateau. Parts of the shoreline is bordered by steep cliffs. The island is mostly covered by alvar. There is also some very old broadleaf forest, which is unique for Gotland. There are several caves and up to 16 meter high limestone pillars.

Paviken
Paviken is a lake near Västergarn on western Gotland. The lake and its surroundings form the nature reserve Paviken. During the Viking Age, Paviken was a cove connected to the Baltic Sea. It formed a natural harbour which was improved by jetties. These were built during the 8th century and were used for about 300 years until the harbour became too shallow, when the harbour and trade was moved to Västergarn.
