Kocahıdır

Kocahıdır is a town in İpsala district of Edirne Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|49|N|26|24|E||| | |name= }} Kocahıdır is 17 kilometres south east of İpsala. The town is divided into three parts by two parallel creeks flowing to south west. The population of Kocahıdır is 1159 as of 2011. Kocahıdır was founded in 1893 by 66 Muslim families from Bulgaria. In 1938 during another migration, Muslim families from Romania were also settled in Kocahıdır.

Aenus (Thrace)

Aenus, modern Enez in Turkey, was an ancient Greek city on the southeastern coast of Thrace. Formerly called Poltyobria (or Poltymbria), it was located near the mouth of the Hebrus River, not far from the Melas Gulf, which is formed by the Thracian Chersonesus to the east. Esetçe

Esetçe is a town in İpsala district of Edirne Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|52|N|26|26|E||| | |name= }} Esetçe is 10 kilometres east of Greece border. Distance to İpsala is 11 kilometres and to Edirne is 135 kilometres The population of Esetçe is 2180 as of 2011. Esetçe was founded after the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878) by Turks and Pomaks from Plevna who escaped from the Russians.

Gulf of Saros

Saros Bay or Gulf of Saros is an inlet of the northern Aegean Sea located north of the Gallipoli Peninsula in northwestern Turkey. The Archipelago of Saros is in the gulf.
