Cyrrhus

Cyrrhus, or Kyrros was a city in ancient Syria founded by Seleucus Nicator, one of Alexander the Great's generals. Other names for the city include Hagioupolis, Nebi Huri نبي حوري, Khoros. Its ruins are located in northern Syria, near the Turkish border. It lies about 70 km northwest of Aleppo and 24 km west of Kilis, in Turkey. Cyrrhus was the capital of the extensive district of Cyrrhestica, between the plain of Antioch and Commagene.

Tahtalıkaradut is a village in Musabeyli district of Kilis Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:36|56|N|36|55|E||| | |name= }} it is situated in the typical peneplain area of the south eastern Turkey. It is 25 kilometres north of Musabeyli and 58 kilometres north of Kilis. The population of Tahtalıkaradut is 1353 as of 2010. The main products of the village are olive, grapes and cereals.
