Burunucu is a village in Silifke district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is almost at the midway between Silifke and Taşucu (a coastal town in Mersin Province), the distance to both being about 5 kilometres . It is 86 kilometres to Mersin. The population of Burnucu is 772 as of 2011. The village was a port in the antiquity and its name was Sarpedon.
