Emirler, Tarsus

Emirler is a village in Tarsus district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is situated in the Toros Mountains and extreme east of the province. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:37|13|N|34|57|E||| | |name= }} it is about 55 kilometres to Tarsus and 85 kilometres to Mersin. The population of village is 178 as of 2011. According to oral tradition the village was founded by a tribe from Turkestan.

Varda Viaduct

The Varda Viaduct, aka Giaour Dere Viaduct, locally known as "Alman Köprüsü" or "Koca Köprü", is a railway viaduct situated at Hacıkırı (Kıralan) village in Karaisalı district of Adana Province in southern Turkey. Designed and built by Imperial German engineers as part of the Baghdad Railway, the stone arch structure is 63 km from Adana Central Station and 306 km from Konya.
