Mehmetli

Mehmetli is a small town in Sumbas district of Osmaniye Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:37|29|N|36|03|E||| | |name= }} it is at the south east of Mehmetli Dam (also called Kesiksuyu Dam) reservoir and 5 kilometres north of Sumbas. Distance to Osmaniye, the province center, is 65 kilometres . The population of Mehmetli is 1524 as of 2010. The name of the town refers to personal name Mehmet which is very common in the settlement.

Aslantaş Dam

Aslantaş Dam is an embankment dam on Ceyhan River in Osmaniye Province, Turkey, built between 1975 and 1984. The dam creates a lake which is 49 km ² and irrigates 149,849 hectares. It also supports a 138 MW power station.
