Yevpatoria RT-70 radio telescope

The Yevpatoria RT-70 radio telescope (P-2500, RT-70) is an RT-70 radio telescope and planetary radar at the Center for Deep Space Communications, Yevpatoria, Crimea, Ukraine. In the scientific literature is often called Evpatoria planetary radar (an acronym EPR). With its 70m antenna diameter, it is among the largest single dish radio telescopes in the world.

Kazantip

Kazantip (stylised as kaZantip, also known simply as "Z") is an electronic dance music festival held every year on the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. The entrance ticket is called a "viZa". It takes place for 5–6 weeks in the summer and more than 150,000 "paradiZers" visit each year. There is a cult of orange coloured fashion and yellow suitcases associated with the festival.

Yevpatoria Airport

Yevpatoria Airport "Yevpatoria aircraft repair plant" (Ukrainian: Євпаторійський авіаційний ремонтний завод, Russian: Евпаторийский авиационный ремонтный завод) is an airport in Yevpatoria, Ukraine. The airport is located just east of the city.

2008 Yevpatoria gas explosion

The 2008 Yevpatoria gas explosion took place on December 25, 2008 with an explosion in an apartment block in Yevpatoria, a Ukrainian Black Sea resort town. Within hours, the death toll stood at 22 with 10 missing. On December 26 the total number of deaths was 27 people. President Viktor Yushchenko declared December 26 to be a day of national mourning.

Karaite Kenesa

The Karaite Kenesa is located in Yevpatoria, Crimea, Ukraine. The temple complex of Crimean Karaites (karaev) covers an area of 0.25 hectares and consists of large and small kenesa buildings (meetinghouses), building religious schools (Midrash), charity dining, household courtyards and multiple courtyards (grape, marble, waiting for the prayer Ritual, Memorial). The kenesa has been a centre of the religious life of the Karaites of Yevpatoria since 1837.
