1979 Dniprodzerzhynsk mid-air collision

The 1979 Dniprodzerzhynsk mid-air collision refers to the mid-air collision of two Aeroflot Tupolev Tu-134s that took place on 11 August 1979 over the Ukrainian SSR, near Dniprodzerzhynsk. All 178 occupants of both aircraft perished in the accident.

Petrykivka

Petrykivka is an urban-type settlement in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in east-central Ukraine. There are about 5 thousand inhabitants. It is famous as a folk art centre and for its unique style of decorative painting. According to legend, the settlement was founded by the Cossack Petryk, who gathered under his protection the serfs from the local villages.

Komunarivska is a station on Dnipropetrovsk Metro's Tsentralno–Zavodska Line. It is a shallow subway station, accessible by stairs and was opened on December 29, 1995 along with the rest of the system's first stations. The station is located on the Komunarivska Street (for which it is named) and the corner of the Brativ Trofymovykh Street and in the Krasnyi Kamen and Komunar residential areas of Dnipropetrovsk.
