Khodoriv

Khodoriv is a city in the Lviv Oblast of western Ukraine. It has a population of 10,080. The city was first mentioned in 1394. In many historic documents it is referred to as Khodoriv-stav. In many documents it is named Khodoriv-stav. It is connected with a male name Fedir and the situation of the town above a big lake. In the 15th century, Khodoriv was granted city status and a coat of arms.

Svirzh Castle

Svirz Castle (Ukrainian: Свірзький замок, Svirz'kyi zamok) is a fortified aristocratic residence in Svirzh, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. It was originally built by the Świrzski noble family in the 15th century. Inside the castle is a small church dating from 1546. The stronghold was completely rebuilt in the 17th century at the behest of its new owner, Count Aleksander Cetner. It is believed that General Paweł Grodzicki was responsible for the modernisation of the castle's fortifications.

Peremyshliany is a town in Lviv Oblast of Ukraine. It is administrative center of the Peremyshliany Raion. Population is 7,565 (2001). It had a Jewish population of 2,934 in 1900.

Burshtyn

Burshtyn is a city located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in western Ukraine, to the north of Halych. It lies in the Halych Raion and is accessible by rail. Nhe name literally means "amber" in Ukrainian. The current estimated population is around 14,700 (as of 2004). It developed rapidly and significantly grew in population during the Soviet period. It is the biggest city in its raion the population of which is more than twice as in the raion center of Halych.
