Halych

Halych is a historic city on the Dniester River in western Ukraine. The town gave its name to the historic province and the Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia, of which it was the capital until the early 14th century, when the seat of the local princes was moved to Lviv. In 1340-1772, the province included the Ruthenian Voivodeship. Today Halych is a small city and is located right next to the former capital of the Galicia Kingdom although it preserved its former name.

Krylos

Krylos is a small village of Halych Raion in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. It is located 5 km (approximately 3 mi) south of modern Halych and is part of the National preserve Ancient Halych. The village covers an area of 19.18 square kilometers. The village council consists of 16 people.

Voinyliv

Voynyliv (Ukrainian: Войнилів / Voinyliv / Vojnyliv, Polish: Wojniłów / Voyneeloow, Russian: Войнилов / Voynilov / Voinilov) is a town in western Ukraine. Voynyliv is situated in Kalush Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, ca. 100 km from Lviv. The closest city is Kalush to the west. The distance to the closest railway station in Kalush is 22 km and it is 42 km from Voynyliv to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

Hnyla Lypa

Hnyla Lypa is a river in Ukraine. Hnyla Lypa means "a rotten linden tree" both in Polish and Ukrainian. It is a tributary of the Dniester river, and runs parallel to the Zolota Lypa river. Some of the towns it runs through are: Peremyshliany, Rohatyn, and Burshtyn.

Burshtyn

Burshtyn is a city located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in western Ukraine, to the north of Halych. It lies in the Halych Raion and is accessible by rail. Nhe name literally means "amber" in Ukrainian. The current estimated population is around 14,700 (as of 2004). It developed rapidly and significantly grew in population during the Soviet period. It is the biggest city in its raion the population of which is more than twice as in the raion center of Halych.
