Chuhuiv

Chuhuiv is a city in the Kharkiv Oblast of eastern Ukraine. Serving as the administrative center of the Chuhuivskyi Raion, the city itself is directly subordinate to the oblast, and is located at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:49|50|8|N|36|41|11|E|type:city_region:UA | |name= }}. The estimated population is 36 438. There is a notable food industry in the city, which particularly focuses on producing mayonnaise.

Drobytsky Yar

Drobytsky Yar is a ravine 8–12 km south east from Kharkiv, Ukraine. In December 1941, Nazi troops invading the Soviet Union began killing local inhabitants over the following year. At the end of this period, some 16,000 people, mainly Jews were killed. Notably on December 15, 1941, when the temperature was −15 degrees Celsius (+5 °F), ca. 15,000 Jews were shot. Children were thrown into pits alive, to save bullets, in expectation that they quickly freeze to death.
