Ukraina Stadium

Ukraina Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Lviv, Ukraine. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and was the home of FC Karpaty Lviv. "Ukraina" is also an alternative stadium for the Ukraine national football team where it played several of its qualification games for various tournaments. The stadium is located in the central part of the city in the Snopkiv Park which is classified as the monument of park architecture (landscape art).

Cemetery of the Defenders of Lwów

The Cemetery of the Defenders of Lwów (Polish: Cmentarz Obrońców Lwowa, Cmentarz Orląt, Cemetery of Eaglets, Orlat Cemetery) is a memorial and a burial place for the Poles and their allies who died in Lviv during the hostilities of the Polish-Ukrainian War and Polish-Soviet War between 1918 and 1920. The complex is a part of the city's historic Lychakiv Cemetery.

Scottish Book

The Scottish Book was a thick notebook used by mathematicians of the Lwow School of Mathematics for jotting down problems meant to be solved. The notebook was named after the "Scottish Café" where it was kept. Originally, the mathematicians who gathered at the cafe would write down the problems and equations directly on the cafe's marble table tops, but these would be erased at the end of each day, and so the record of the preceding discussions would be lost.

Massacre of Lviv professors

In July 1941, 25 Polish academics from the city of Lviv were killed by Nazi German occupation forces along with their families and guests. By targeting prominent citizens and intellectuals for elimination, the Nazis hoped to prevent anti-Nazi activity and to weaken the resolve of the Polish resistance.

Bernardine Church, Lviv

The Bernardine church and monastery in Lviv is located in the city's Old Town, south of the market square. The monastery along with the Roman Catholic church of St. Andrew, today the Greek Catholic church of St. Andrew, now belong the Order of St. Basil the Great. The Franciscan Observantists, known in the region as Bernardines after their monastery in Kraków in order to distinguish them from Franciscan Conventuals, were invited to Lviv by Andrzej Odrowąż in 1460.
