Tylihul Estuary

Tylihul Estuary, also called Tylihulskyi Liman is a Ramsar listed estuary of the Tylihul River. Located in the south of Ukraine, it includes an Ornithological Game Reserve and a Regional Landscape Park. The name of the water body originates from the Turkish: Deli Göl, meaning "mad, rabid lake". The estuary has a length 80 km, width 0.2—3.5 km, and a depth up to 19 m. The isolation of the estuary from the Black Sea occurred in the 18th to 19th Centuries.

Dnieper-Bug Estuary

Dnieper-Bug Estuary is an open estuary, or liman, of two rivers: Dnieper and Southern Bug. Located in the northern coast of the Black Sea. The most important port is Ochakiv. The water body includes two parts: more wide Dnieper Estuary (55 km long, up to 17 km wide), and narrow Bug Estuary (47 km long, from 5 to 11 km wide). Average depth 6–7 m, maximal is 12 m. The estuary has transport, recreation, and fisheries importance.

Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv, also known as Nikolayev, is a city in southern Ukraine, administrative center of the Mykolaiv Oblast. Mykolaiv is the main ship building center of the Black Sea, and, arguably, the whole Eastern Europe. The city is an important transportation junction of Ukraine (sea port, commercial port, river port, highway and railway junction, airport). Mykolaiv's orderly layout reflects the fact that its development has been well planned from the founding of the city.

Inhul

Inhul is a left tributary of the Southern Buh river of Ukraine. It rises North of Kirovohrad, flowing South into the Southern Bug at Mykolayiv, 65 kilometers North (up river) from where the Southern Bug River empties into the Black Sea. The Ingul River is about 300 km long. The Greek historian Herodotus mentions the river as the Pantikapes in his Histories (4.54), during his description of the land of Scythia.
