Andrushivka Astronomical Observatory

Andrushivka Astronomical Observatory (Ukrainian: Андрушівська астрономічна обсерваторія) is a private astronomical observatory in the town suburbs of Andrushivka, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine. It was established in 2001. The founder and director of the observatory is Yuri Ivashchenko. The observatory has IAU observatory code A50. On September 18, 2003 the observatory discovered a main-belt asteroid, which was later named after the town, 133293 Andrushivka.

Mikhaylivka, Ukraine

Mikhaylivka is a village in the Vinnytsia Raion of the Vinnytsia Oblast of Ukraine. The area is 2.184 km² and the population (2001 census) is 906 ihhabitants. The village was founded in 1510. On 30 April 1831, during November Uprising captain Kurowski has won a battle against a Russian squadron from Machnówka. The postal code is 23203, the telephone area code is 432, and the KOATUU (territorial administrative classification) code is 0520681406.

Tereschenko Palace

Tereschenko Palace is a palace, now a school, in Andrushivka, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine. It was built in 1871 by Artemiy Tereshchenko, a sugar baron from the wealthy Tereshchenko family of entrepreneurs who ran the Andrushivka Sugar Factory. It is a brick palace set in a park, built in the style of French Neo-renaissance. On 25 January 1919 a meeting was held here by the Volyn Revolutionary Committee, and in June 1920 in these walls housed the headquarters of the First Mounted Army.
