Hembury

Hembury is a Neolithic causewayed enclosure near Honiton in Devon. It dates from the late fifth and early fourth millennia BC onwards to the Roman invasion. The fort is situated on a promontory to the north of and overlooking the River Otter valley at approx 178 metres above sea level. It has given its name to some of the earliest Neolithic pottery in southern Britain. An Iron Age hill fort was later built on the same site.

Orway

Orway is a small hamlet, approximately 1.5 miles squared, situated just on the edge of the Blackdown Hills in Devon, United Kingdom. It is located in the parish of Kentisbeare, near Cullompton. Orway consists of around fourteen houses and two working farms. There is a third but it no longer operates as a working farm. Orway Crescent Farm is primarily chickens and horses. Orway Porch farm, specialising in crops (largely potatoes) and cows (Fresians), is adjacent.

Plymtree

Plymtree is a small village near Cullompton in Devon, England. It has a population of approximately 600. The village has a public house called The Blacksmith Arms which is featured in 2006 Good Beer Guide and a Church of England primary school. There is a small village shop and post office which is open during the week and is used by the village community, as is the village hall, playground and recreation field. The yearly country fayre is held on the August Bank Holiday.

Pomeroy Wood

Pomeroy Wood is the site near Honiton in Devon of a Roman military site of unknown type, probably either a fort or marching camp, though archaeological investigations have proved inconclusive. The site is at SY1399. The site was investigated during improvements to the A30 Honiton to Exeter road in the late 1990s. A rampart made of earth and timber was found and outside were two deep ditches with narrow 'ankle-breakers' at their bases.
