Hembury

Hembury is a Neolithic causewayed enclosure near Honiton in Devon. It dates from the late fifth and early fourth millennia BC onwards to the Roman invasion. The fort is situated on a promontory to the north of and overlooking the River Otter valley at approx 178 metres above sea level. It has given its name to some of the earliest Neolithic pottery in southern Britain. An Iron Age hill fort was later built on the same site.

Talaton

Talaton is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Devon. It lies approximately 6 miles to the west of Honiton, 3 miles to the north of Ottery St Mary, 2 miles to the west of Feniton and 2 miles to the east of Whimple. The parish of Talaton covers an area of 965 hectares (2,384 acres). Its total population was estimated to be 590 in 2012 The village has a public house, the Talaton Inn, a manor house, Talaton House, a church, St James the Great, and a village hall.

Plymtree

Plymtree is a small village near Cullompton in Devon, England. It has a population of approximately 600. The village has a public house called The Blacksmith Arms which is featured in 2006 Good Beer Guide and a Church of England primary school. There is a small village shop and post office which is open during the week and is used by the village community, as is the village hall, playground and recreation field. The yearly country fayre is held on the August Bank Holiday.

Fairmile, Devon

For the boat builder, see Fairmile Marine Fairmile is a hamlet in the English county of Devon. It lies on the former A30 trunk road approximately 6 miles west of Honiton, where this road crosses the Talaton to Ottery St Mary road, in the valley of the River Tale. Fairmile belongs partly to the civil parish of Talaton and partly to that of Ottery St Mary. The hamlet consists of a handful of houses, including the Fairmile Inn (now closed), a boarding cattery (Fairmile Cat Hotel est.
