Dorney Lake

Dorney Lake (also known as Eton College Rowing Centre, and as Eton Dorney as a 2012 Summer Olympics venue) is a purpose-built rowing lake in England. It is near the village of Dorney, Buckinghamshire, and is around 3 km (2 miles) west of Windsor and Eton, close to the River Thames. The lake is privately owned and financed by Eton College, which spent £17 million developing it.

Monkey Island, Bray is located in BerkshireMonkey Island, Bray Monkey Island is a small island in the River Thames in England, on the reach above Boveney Lock near the village of Bray, Berkshire. It is now occupied by a hotel, but sports an interesting history involving grotesquely painted monkeys and the Duke of Marlborough.

Water Oakley

Water Oakley is a hamlet on the River Thames in the civil parish of Bray in the English county of Berkshire. It is the location of both Bray Studios and the Oakley Court Hotel. It first appeared on maps around 1800. However, the name 'Oakley' is derived from the Old English ac-leah which translates as 'a clearing in an oak wood'. Local folklore suggests a Saxon church there was demolished around 1293 to build St Michael's Church in Bray.

Bray Studios (UK)

Bray Studios is a film and television facility at Bray, near Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. The model and miniature filming for the film Alien was shot there, as well as The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It is best known for its association with Hammer Film Productions and contains four stages, plus offices and workshops. Hammer originally leased country houses in which to shoot films, until the company eventually purchased Down Place on the banks of the Thames near Bray.
