Lighthorne

Lighthorne is a village in Warwickshire, England. It is about 6 miles south of Leamington Spa. Lighthorne is a small village in a valley and is near Moreton Morrell, Kineton and Wellesbourne. The first mention of a post office in the village is in October 1849, when a type of postmark known as an undated circle was issued. The parish church of St. Lawrence stands in a valley west of the village.

Ashorne Hall Railway

The Ashorne Hall Railway was a minimum gauge railway in Warwick, Warwickshire, England. It was conceived as an added attraction to the collection of mechanical musical instruments at the Ashorne Hall museum. It was completed in the mid-1990s and was called the Nickelodeon Line. It was 12¼in gauge and had a clever and complicated track layout giving a journey of about one mile (1.6 km) in a restricted area of 6 acres .

Compton Verney

Compton Verney is a manor and parish in the county of Warwickshire, England. Compton Verney House is an 18th century country mansion which has been converted into an art gallery. The village of Compton Murdac came to be renamed around 1500 as Compton Verney under the influence of the Verney family who first built a manor house there in 1442. The Manor House was extended by succeeding generations as the family's fortune improved.
