Lyddington Bede House

Lyddington Bede House is a historic house in Rutland, England, owned and opened to the public by English Heritage. The existing Grade I listed building is a part of a former palace of the Bishops of Lincoln, situated next to the church in the village of Lyddington. After the Reformation, ownership passed to the Cecil family who made it their private house.

Eyebrook Reservoir

Eyebrook Reservoir (also Eye Brook Reservoir) is a reservoir in the East Midlands of England. It straddles the border of Leicestershire (to the west) and Rutland (to the east). It is located about 6 km northwest of Corby in Northamptonshire. Nearby villages are Stoke Dry to the north, and Caldecott to the south and near the dam. The reservoir was formed by the damming of the Eye Brook.

Uppingham School

Uppingham School is a co-educational independent school situated in the small market town of Uppingham in Rutland, England. The school was founded in 1584 by Robert Johnson, the Archdeacon of Leicester who also established Oakham School. The school's current Headmaster, Richard Harman M.A. , is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and the school is a member of the Rugby Group of independent schools in the United Kingdom.

Uppingham Rural District

Uppingham was a rural district in Rutland, England from 1894 to 1974, covering the south-west of the county. The rural district was formed by the Local Government Act 1894 from the part of the Uppingham rural sanitary district in Rutland. At the same time, the remainder of Uppingham RSD, which lay in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire became Hallaton Rural District and Gretton Rural District respectively. The only town in the district was Uppingham.
