Liss railway station

Liss railway station is a stop on the Portsmouth Direct Line, serving the village of Liss in Hampshire, England. As a small station, for most of the day there is one train each way (to Portsmouth and Waterloo) an hour. This station has short platforms, so passengers must be in the front four or five coaches of a train to alight. The station had a platform adjacent to the mainline, which was the southern terminus of the Longmoor Military Railway.

Liss Athletic F.C

Liss Athletic F.C. is a semi-professional football club based in Liss, near Petersfield, in England. The club is affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association and is an FA chartered Standard club They were established in 1962 and joined the Hampshire League in 1987. In 2004, they joined the Wessex League Division Two, which was renamed Division One two years later after a league re-organisation, and played at that level until 2008.

East Hampshire

East Hampshire is a local government district in Hampshire, England. Its council is based in Petersfield. Other towns are Alton, Horndean and Whitehill-Bordon. The district was originally to be known as the District Council of Petersfield. It comprised 42 seats and first met on 18 June 1973. For ten months it operated alongside the councils that it was formed to replace: the Alton and Petersfield urban districts along with Alton Rural District and Petersfield Rural District.
