Portglenone Abbey

Our Lady of Bethlehem Abbey, a Cistercian monastery in Portglenone, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, was founded in 1948 by Mount Melleray Abbey in County Waterford. The monks bought Portglenone House, a country mansion built about the year 1810 by the Church of Ireland Bishop, Dr. Alexander who demolished the local castle . History records that Sir Roger Casement often stayed in the house in the early years of the 20th century.

Glenone (from Irish: Cluain Eoghain, meaning "Eoghan's meadow") is a small village and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 318. It is within the Magherafelt District Council area. Portglenone lies a short distance across the Lower River Bann (to the east) and Inishrush is a short distance to the west.

Greenlough GAC

Saint Oliver Plunkett's GAC Greenlough (Irish: CLG Naomh Oilibheir Pluinceid Grainlocha) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Clady/Greenlough, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The club is a member of Derry GAA and currently caters for Gaelic football and camogie, and also competes in Scór. The club is named after Irish martyr Saint Oliver Plunkett. Underage teams play in the South Derry league and championships.

Inishrush

Inishrush (from Irish: Inis Rois, meaning "island of the woods") is a small village and townland near Glenone in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 114 people. It is within the Magherafelt District Council area. Locally significant sites include St Nossonus' Church of Ireland church, a listed building which stands on a hill to the east of the village.
