Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre

Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre is a regional shopping centre located in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England which is about 50 miles (80 km) north-west of London. It comprises of two adjacent shopping centres, the grade II listed building thecentre:mk which opened in 1979, and Midsummer Place opened in 2000. The Centre:MK is anchored by John Lewis, House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer, with Debenhams at Midsummer Place.

Xscape (building)

Xscape buildings (named after the company that developed them, X-Leisure) are large, strikingly designed and unusually shaped buildings. Typically they contain a real snow indoor ski slope, leisure facilities and related shops. There are currently three members of the chain, located in Central Milton Keynes and Yorkshire and in Braehead, Scotland.

Borough of Milton Keynes

The Borough of Milton Keynes is a unitary authority and borough in south central England, at the northern tip of the South East England Region. For ceremonial purposes, it is in the county of Buckinghamshire. though it is legally a county in its own right. It is the most northerly district of the South East region. It borders the non-metropolitan counties of Buckinghamshire (the area under the control of Buckinghamshire County Council), Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

National Hockey Stadium

The National Hockey Stadium was a sports stadium in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, with a nominal capacity of around 4,000 seats, although this was temporarily increased to 9,000 from 2003 and 2007. The stadium no longer exists, having been replaced by a new headquarters building for Network Rail.

Grand Union Canal

The Grand Union Canal in England is part of the British canal system. Its main line starts in London and ends in Birmingham, stretching for 137 miles (220 km) with 166 locks. It has arms to places including Leicester, Slough, Aylesbury, Wendover and Northampton. The Grand Union Canal was also the original name for part of what is now part of the Leicester Line of the modern Grand Union: this latter is now generally referred to as the Old Grand Union Canal in order to avoid ambiguity.
