Knowlesands Tunnel

Knowlesands Tunnel is a very short railway tunnel between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade on the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire, England. It has always only carried a single track although constructed so two lines of standard gauge track could pass through it.

RAF Bridgnorth

RAF Bridgnorth was a Royal Air Force Station, created on 6 November 1939, at Stanmore, to the east of Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England. However, as RAF Stanmore Park already existed in Middlesex, it was named RAF Bridgnorth. Although during its existence various static aeroplanes were displayed as Gate Guardians, RAF Bridgnorth never had a runway. The first unit stationed there was No.4 Recruit Centre. Their role was to carry out the basic training of new recruits in the RAF.

Daniels Mill, Shropshire

Daniels Mill is a working water mill used for milling flour, located near Bridgnorth in the English county of Shropshire. The mill has the largest cast iron waterwheel in England, spanning a 38 feet diameter. The present mill worked until 1957 grinding all kinds of grain for animal feed, but ceased operation upon the death of the miller, who is the present owner's father. After a great deal of restoration work, the mill was re-opened in 2008.

Oldbury, Shropshire

Oldbury is a small village in Shropshire, England, situated approximately ⁄2 miles south of the market town of Bridgnorth. It is included in the Bridgnorth civil parish; the civil parish of Oldbury was abolished in 1967. The village remains separated from the town however and has a distinct character. The village is linked to the town by the modern B4363 road, though the original route linking the two settlements is now cut in half by the Bridgnorth by-pass.
