Energy World

Energy World was a demonstration project of 51 low-energy houses constructed in the Shenley Lodge area of Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. The project was promoted by the Milton Keynes Development Corporation and culminated in a public exhibition in August and October 1986 that attracted international interest. It was a significant landmark in the design and construction of low-energy housing, and in the development of energy efficiency evaluation tools.

Shenley, Milton Keynes

Shenley (which consists of the villages/areas named Shenley Wood, Shenley Lodge, Shenley Brook End, Shenley Dens, Shenley Hill and Shenley Church End) is one of the parts of Buckinghamshire that went to make up the "new city" of Milton Keynes in the 1960s. It is located to the west of the city centre, on the Roman road Watling Street between Stony Stratford and Fenny Stratford. The village name 'Shenley' is an Old English language word meaning 'bright clearing'.

Westcroft

Westcroft is a district in the west side of Milton Keynes, in the civil parish of Shenley Brook End. Westcroft District Centre is a large retail development that serves this side of Milton Keynes. The District Centre houses the Milton Keynes branch of Morrisons and other UK high street names, such as Boots and a Marshall car servicing centre / dealership (Citroen, Mazda and Skoda). The centre also has a small local library and a meeting place.

Tattenhoe

Tattenhoe and Tattenhoe Park are adjacent districts of Milton Keynes, England, in the ancient parish of Tattenhoe. It is located at the south-western edge of the city, not far from the ruins of Snelshall Priory. It contains Howe Park Wood, one of England's few remaining primeval woodlands and home to a wide variety of wildlife, notably Odonata. The village was abandoned in the 16th century and had its own moated manor house and church (1540, perhaps 12th century).
