Loughborough railway station

Loughborough railway station serves the town of Loughborough in Leicestershire, England. Situated on the Midland Main Line, 12+⁄2 miles north of Leicester, the station lies to the north-east of the town centre. More than 1.3 million people entered and left the station in the twelve months to March 2010, an increase of nearly two hundred thousand in five years. This makes it the 322nd most-used Network Rail station.

Loughborough Gap

The Loughborough Gap is a short, disused section of the former Great Central Main Line in the northeastern corner of Loughborough, England, between the northern and southern sections of the present-day Great Central Railway. The formation originally consisted of an embankment and three bridges: two to span the Midland Main Line, and one a canal. Nearly all of this alignment was removed in the late 1960s under the Beeching Axe.

Cotes, Leicestershire

Cotes is a hamlet and very small civil parish near the town of Loughborough in Leicestershire, England, with a population of about 50. It lies on the River Soar, and Cotes Bridge provides the main bridging point in that area. The A60 Trunk Road goes over Cotes Bridge on its way out of Loughborough towards Nottingham. The B676, the only other significant nearby road, begins at the A60 just to the east of Cotes Bridge and goes off towards the village of Burton on the Wolds.

John Taylor & Co

John Taylor & Co, commonly known as Taylor's Bell Foundry or simply Taylor's, is the world's largest working bell foundry, located in Loughborough, Charnwood borough of Leicestershire, in the United Kingdom. It was bought out of Administration in 2009 by a consortium called UK Bellfoundries Ltd who successfully re-financed and re-established the business. Since then the company has re-established its presence not only in the UK but also in the North American Carillon and other export markets.
