Droitwich Transmitting Station

The Droitwich transmitting station is a large broadcasting facility for long- and medium-wave transmissions, established in 1934 in the civil parish of Dodderhill, just outside the village of Wychbold, near Droitwich in Worcestershire, England. The site is the location of the British Broadcasting Corporation's most powerful long-wave transmitter, which together with the two Scottish long-wave transmitters at Burghead and Westerglen forms a network broadcasting on the same frequency.

Bromsgrove railway station

Bromsgrove railway station serves the town of Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, England. It is located at the foot of the two-mile Lickey Incline which ascends at a gradient of 1-in-37.7 towards Barnt Green on the line between Birmingham and Worcester. The station opened as part of the Birmingham and Gloucester Railway (later part of the Midland Railway) in 1840.

Hanbury Hall

Hanbury Hall was built by the chancery lawyer Thomas Vernon in the early 18th century. Thomas Vernon was the great grandson of the first Vernon to come to Hanbury, Worcestershire, Rev Richard Vernon (1549–1628). Rev Richard and his descendants slowly accumulated land in Hanbury, including the manor, bought by Edward Vernon in 1630, but it was Thomas through his successful legal practice who added most to estates, which amounted to nearly 8,000 acres in his successor Bowater Vernon’s day.

Tardebigge Engine House

Tardebigge Engine House is a former canal-pumping engine house at Tardebigge, Worcestershire, England. It is grade II listed. It stands near lock 57 (one lock below the top lock, 58) of the Tardebigge Locks on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and contained a steam powered Newcomen-Watt beam engine, which was removed in 1915. It was used to pump water from the adjacent Tardebigge feeder reservoir, which is about 50 ft (15.2 m) below the level of the top pound of the canal.
